The big day may have come and gone, but keep in touch as we prepare for our next Midland- Live Show! See you soon- at the next one!
Join us on Tuesday, April 29th, 7:00-9:00 PM at Delta College Planetarium in Bay City, for the second show of our tour. Prepare for a powerful evening filled with thought-provoking dialogue, compelling stories, and meaningful connections as we tackle the important topic of homelessness, government benefits, charities, religious organizations, and more.
What does society potentially owe the unhoused, and where does responsibility truly lie? Is finding solutions a collective RESPONSIBILITY, or does the burden rest solely on those experiencing homelessness? Let’s talk, challenge perspectives, and explore what real change looks like.
Perhaps what The Breaking Bread Village is most known for! Live shows host a group of panelists to dive into meaningful conversations on challenging topics and share their perspectives helping us transform as individuals and as a community.
Serving Hope and Breaking Bread is another way we connect to the community on a smaller scale than Live Shows. We spread cheer, education, conversation, connection, support, and light refreshment.
Erin Patrice is the heart behind The Breaking Bread Village. Erin has years of life experience training, teaching, and facilitating conversations through empathy, strategy, and storytelling. Bring Erin to speak to your group on a specific topic or as a keynote speaker.
"Being on the panel of societal expectations was outstanding. It really allowed me to reflect internally on the questions Erin asked along with how we each responded. It is an amazing thing when individuals from all backgrounds, can come together to share a table to talk about topics such as we did.
This work is important because we each have different experiences and stories but we all have had something that has helped empower us to get to where we are today. When we open up this conversation and have a dialogue, we have the opportunity to connect to one another."
"The topic - Honesty and Transparency - is very broad, but I think we were able to successfully approach it from a variety of perspectives. I enjoyed listening to the other participants interpret those two concepts and share personal insight on being honest with oneself, being transparent with one's motives and living honestly in public and with family.
I felt like I was challenged as a speaker - in a good way - and as a participant. There were a lot of people on the panel, so I wasn't always able to engage on every question, but I didn't leave feeling like didn't have an ample opportunity to voice my thoughts.
I also appreciated the diversity of the panel - many different life experiences and ages were present. I would participate in another discussion or encourage friends to participate. I think Breaking Bread is having a real and positive impact on the Midland community."
